I'm afraid "normal" Americans (Dems, liberals, intellectuals etc.) are same interested in EU being collapsed politically and destroyed militarily. They know how much loot (material, human, political) they took from Europe after each World War, and they don't mind to repeat it.

I don't consider dems and liberals 'normal Americans'. After half a year of work in the US several years ago I'm still very confused whom of their citizens one can call 'normal'.

My friends (I would call them intellectuals judging from their intellectual level, but in fact they are young engineers) see the current situation as a tragedy and agree with me on that Trump is a traitor to both their nation and ours.

But there are all sorts of people there and many of them are just idiots even if teaching at universities
